Drying Control
Control Drying Speed with the Right Reducer
PVC Ink drying speed is fully controlled by the type of reducer used. Choosing the wrong reducer is the most common cause of drying problems in screen printing — especially when Indian seasons change. We guide every customer to the right reducer for their city and environment.
Fast Reducer
Use when: Air-conditioned workshop, cold weather, low humidity
Effect: Speeds up drying time significantly
Medium Reducer
Use when: Normal room temperature, standard workshop conditions
Effect: Balanced drying — the most commonly used reducer
Slow Reducer
Use when: Hot weather, high humidity, summer months, outdoor or open workshops
Effect: Slows drying to prevent ink drying on screen mid-print

Is Your Ink Not Drying Properly?
The most common PVC ink complaint in India — ink drying too fast on the screen, or not drying at all on the substrate. This happens across India as seasons change: summer humidity in coastal cities, cold dry winters in North India.
The solution is almost always the reducer grade — not the ink itself.

Switch to Slow Reducer

Switch to Fast Reducer
Colour not coming out bright

Check reducer ratio — too much reducer dilutes colour strength

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
PVC Matt gives a matte finish and is designed for paper surfaces — corrugated boxes, wedding cards, letterheads, and paper packaging. PVC Gloss gives a glossy finish and is designed for plastic surfaces — BOPP bags, LD plastic sheets, and plastic packaging. PVC Gloss can also be used on paper when a gloss finish is required.
PVC Ink works with screen printing, pad printing, and spray printing. It is most commonly used in flatbed and cylinder screen printing setups for both paper and plastic substrates.
The reducer grade depends on your workshop environment and the current season. Use Fast Reducer in cold or air-conditioned conditions, Medium Reducer for normal room temperature, and Slow Reducer in hot or humid environments such as Indian summers. If you are unsure, contact us with your city and workshop setup — we will recommend the exact grade.
PVC Gloss works well on BOPP bags and LD plastic. For other plastic substrates such as rigid PVC, ABS, or PP, a trial print is recommended before full production. Some surfaces may require surface treatment or a different ink formulation for best adhesion. Contact us before starting production on a new substrate.
